Heritage put another one in the bag on Monday to keep their perfect season alive. They enjoyed a cozy 52-36 victory over the Campbell County Cougars. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Mountaineers also won the last time the pair played back in February of 2023.

When it comes to explaining why Campbell County lost, don't look at Lacey Pemberton. Despite the final result, she went 6 for 8 on her way to 13 points and seven rebounds. Pemberton is also on a roll when it comes to blocks, as she's now posted two or more in the last four games she's played. Destiny Rutherford was another key player, putting up two points and three steals.

Heritage's win was their 14th straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 9-0. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 63.8 points per game. As for Campbell County, their defeat ended a five-game streak of away wins and brought them to 9-1.

Heritage wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 64-41 victory against Valor College Prep on the 19th. As for Campbell County, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 57-39 win against Oneida on the 17th.
