AAA District 7 recap October 22, 2013
Adding to the longest winning streak in AAA District 7 this week, Oakland beat LaVergne 58-7. The victory was the eighth in a row for the Patriots.
Oakland took down the Wolverines 58-7 last week, the largest margin of any game. Jacob Frazier in the win.
Thomas McDaniel's team's offense was tough to stop this week, as it produced the league's top passer, rusher and receiver.
The most important game in the league this week will be the match up between the Patriots and Blackman. Oakland enters the game ranked fourth in the state, while the Blaze ranks fifth.
Ladarius Summers of the Smyrna is just 60 yards short of surpassing 1,000 rushing yards for the season. In 153 carries Summers has accumulated 940 yard this year.
The top two defenses in the league will face off this season when the Patriots take on Blackman. Oakland has allowed 89 points this season, while Philip Shadowens' team has given up 96. The Patriots allowed 7 points last week as they beat LaVergne.
Stewarts Creek made the biggest leap in the national rankings this week, rising to 8,882 from 8,984. The advance stemmed from a 54-7 victory over David Martin's team last week.
