Last Thursday, Philadelphia Electric Charter narrowly escaped with a win as the team sidled past Tacony Academy Charter 43-41. The victory was just what Philadelphia Electric Charter needed coming off of a 71-35 defeat in their prior match.
Meanwhile, the matchup between Parkway Center City and Benjamin Franklin on Thursday hardly resembled the 2-0 effort from their previous meeting. Parkway Center City took a 70-59 hit to the loss column at the hands of Benjamin Franklin. Having run the score up that high, both teams probably have some extra defensive drills coming up.
Despite the defeat, Parkway Center City had strong showings from Josh Snipe, who dropped a double-double on 18 points and ten rebounds, and Israel Mckinley, who scored 17 points along with four steals. The matchup was Mckinley's sixth in a row with at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Jaden McKnight, who scored nine points along with ten rebounds.
Philadelphia Electric Charter's victory bumped their record up to 1-4. As for Parkway Center City, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 3-3.
