Stone won the last time they faced Seminary and things went their way on Saturday too. The Stone Tomcats had just enough and edged out the Seminary Bulldogs 8-6. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Tomcats.
Mattie Gibson was a major factor no matter where she played. On the mound, she pitched two innings while giving up no earned runs off two hits. Gibson was even better at the plate, going 3-for-4 with one triple, two RBI, and one run. What's more, she posted three hits, the most she's had since back in March of 2024.

Stone's record now sits at 4-2. As for Seminary, they dropped their record down to 1-6 with the defeat, which was their third straight on the road.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Stone will venture away from home to square off against Purvis at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Seminary, they will head out to challenge Forrest County Agricultural at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
