Make it nine blowout wins for The Gregory School Hawks this season. They really took it to St. Augustine Catholic for the full four quarters, racking up a 73-39 win on the road. The victory was nothing new for The Gregory School as they're now sitting on seven straight.
The Gregory School's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Razin Smith led the charge by dropping a double-double on 16 points and 11 rebounds. Smith hasn't dropped below eight rebounds for three straight games. Devin Dawson was another key contributor, scoring 13 points along with eight rebounds and two steals.
Several Wolves players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Peter Dogbegah, who dropped a double-double on 11 points and 12 rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Lance Marchessault, who scored seven points along with five rebounds and two steals.
The Gregory School pushed their record up to 16-3 with that win, which was their seventh straight on the road. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 66.1 points per game. As for St. Augustine Catholic, their loss dropped their record down to 10-5.
The Gregory School will head out on the road to square off against Ray at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Ray will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Arizona Rankings (they are ranked 254th, while The Gregory School is ranked 99th). As for St. Augustine Catholic, they will be playing at home against Chandler Prep at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
