Hobart is 10-0 against Wheeler since February of 2016, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Thursday. Both teams will round out the year against one another at 11:30 a.m. at. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Hobart has three straight wins, Wheeler has three straight losses), but none of that matters once you're on the field.
Last Friday, Hobart earned a 43-35 victory over Lowell.
Aidan Leonard continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, dropping a double-double on 18 points and 13 rebounds. The match was his sixth in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Caleb Mamushe, who scored eight points along with six rebounds.
Meanwhile, Wheeler was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap on Friday as they fell 55-50 to Oregon-Davis.
Hobart now has a winning record of 4-3. As for Wheeler, they have been struggling recently, as they've lost four of their last five matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-5 record this season.
Hobart was able to grind out a solid win over Wheeler in their previous meeting back in February, winning 44-32. The rematch might be a little tougher for Hobart since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
