The Edgewood Red Wolves will face off against the Cocoa Beach Minutemen at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.
Back in December of 2024, Edgewood came up short against Brevard Christian and fell 53-46.

Even though the team lost, they still had their share of impressive performances. One of the best came from Santiago Jimenez, who went 5 of 9 on his way to 10 points and six steals. Those ten points gave him a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Eddie Monterrubio, who posted ten points in addition to six boards and three steals.
Meanwhile, Cocoa Beach was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap on Monday as they fell 51-45 to Merritt Island.
Despite the loss, Cocoa Beach saw an underclassman step up: freshman Tristan Louis made all 5 shots he took to post 15 points. Another player making a difference was Jayesiah Carr, who put up six points in addition to seven boards and three steals.
Even though they lost, Cocoa Beach smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 11 offensive boards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least eight offensive rebounds in three consecutive contests.
Cocoa Beach has traveled a rocky road recently having lost three of their last four matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-9 record this season. As for Edgewood, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-3.
Rebounding is likely to be a big factor in this contest: Edgewood has been smashing the glass this season, having averaged 25.3 boards per game. However, it's not like Cocoa Beach struggles in that department as they've been averaging 31.1 rebounds. With both teams battling to corral missed shots, we'll see if one team can grab an edge.
