The East St. Louis Flyers lost against the O'Fallon Panthers back in January, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. East St. Louis was beaten by the Panthers 71-28. East St. Louis has not had much luck with the Panthers recently, as the team's come up short the last eight times they've met.
It was another big night for D'Myjah Bolds, who scored 29 points along with six rebounds and three steals for O'Fallon. Bolds is on a roll when it comes to blocks, as she's now posted two or more in the last six games she's played. Another player making a difference was Jehda Williams, who scored 12 points along with three blocks.
East St. Louis has not been sharp recently as the team's lost nine of their last 11 matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 9-17 record this season. As for O'Fallon, their victory was their fifth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 21-6.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. East St. Louis will face off against the Maroons at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for O'Fallon, they will head out on the road to face off against the Lancers at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. Belleville East will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Illinois Rankings (they are ranked 298th, while the Panthers are ranked 17th).
