There's no place like home for Saint Ignatius College Prep, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Tuesday. They won by a run and slipped past the De La Salle Meteors 3-2. While the Wolfpack didn't have the best season last year (they finished 13-24), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past.

Owen Walsh tossed a big game, not allowing a single earned run while striking out seven over five innings pitched. He also allowed three hits, marking his first of the season.

At the plate, Saint Ignatius College Prep saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Ben Marasovich, who went 1-for-2 with one triple and one RBI. That triple was Marasovich's first of the season. Another was Alec Gunderson, who got on base in all three of his plate appearances with one double.

Saint Ignatius College Prep's win bumped their record up to 7-5. As for De La Salle, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 6-4.
