This season hasn't been kind to the Windsor Academy Knights, who are still winless after their seventh game. They had to suffer through a rough 49-5 loss at the hands of Trinity Christian School of Griffin. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Windsor Academy has scored all season.
They got a good chunk of their points from the dynamic duo of
Alice Ward and
Audrey Dobson, who each put up two points.
Leading Trinity Christian School of Griffin to victory were Aubrey Spitzer and Leah McLaurin. Spitzer scored 14 points along with eight steals and six rebounds, while McLaurin dropped a double-double on 21 points and ten steals. Those eight steals set a new season-high mark for her. Chloe Thompson was another key contributor, scoring eight points.
Windsor Academy's defeat was their 14th straight on the road dating back to last season, which bumped their record down to 0-7. As for Trinity Christian School of Griffin, their victory ended a four-game drought at home and bumped them up to 2-6.
Windsor Academy will be home for the holidays to greet Central Georgia Arts at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Trinity Christian School of Griffin, they will head out on the road to face off against Konos Academy at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Konos Academy presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Trinity Christian School of Griffin in Georgia (Konos Academy is ranked 234th, while Trinity Christian School of Griffin is ranked 487th).
