Harding County took a loss in their last matchup and will be looking to turn the tables on Tiospaye Topa, who comes in off a win.
Last Saturday, Tiospaye Topa beat the Tigers 54-45. The win was just what Tiospaye Topa needed coming off of a 53-29 defeat in their prior contest.
Meanwhile, Harding County pushed their score all the way to 56 on Saturday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They fell 67-56 to Timber Lake. Harding County has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Despite the loss, Harding County saw an underclassman step up: Cohen Smith scored 19 points along with seven rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Smith has scored all season. Payton Dvorak was another key contributor, scoring 11 points along with five steals.
Tiospaye Topa's win bumped their record up to 4-12. As for Harding County, they have not been sharp recently as the team's lost seven of their last eight contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 7-9 record this season.
Tiospaye Topa was dealt a bruising 89-44 defeat at the hands of the Ranchers in their previous matchup back in February of 2023. The matchup was all but decided by halftime, at which point Tiospaye Topa was down 56-23.
