Trey Oden had an outrageously good game as he went 7 for 11 from beyond the arc en route to 33 points and 3 assists. As a matter of fact, that's the most points he has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Jordan Jones, who scored eight points along with seven rebounds.
Buena Vista lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Hudson Wingo, who scored 21 points. Those 21 points set a new season-high mark for him. Julian Lopez-Olsen was another key contributor, scoring 16 points along with eight rebounds.
Banning Lewis Academy's victory bumped their record up to 6-2. As for Buena Vista, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 5-2.
Banning Lewis Academy will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against La Junta at 7:00 p.m. La Junta has now lost eight straight, and the team is hunting for their first win since November 30. As for Buena Vista, they will head out on the road to face off against St. Mary's at 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Hopefully St. Mary's focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 17 on Wednesday.
