Basketball Recap: Windermere Prep Now 5-1 over Last Six Games

Windermere Prep won the last time they faced Cornerstone Charter Academy, and Isaiah Gillard did his part to make sure it happened again. The Windermere Prep Lakers claimed a resounding 90-38 victory over the Cornerstone Charter Academy Ducks thanks in part to Gillard, who went 7 of 8 en route to 17 points along with seven assists and five boards. The dominant performance gave him a new career-high in points.

Derick Augustin and Devan Domadia certainly did their best on Wednesday to avoid the loss. Augustin posted 12 points, while Domadia scored nine points. Dominick Soto was another key player, putting up six points.

Windermere Prep has been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 13-8 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 65.7 points per game. As for Cornerstone Charter Academy, with the defeat, they broke their three-game winning streak and moved their record to 8-10.

Windermere Prep has already played their next game, a 70-55 loss against Camden on the 25th. As for Cornerstone Charter Academy, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 67-52 win against New Dimensions on the 23rd.
