Pine Forge Academy is headed in fresh off scoring the most points they have all season. They lost to Solebury at home by a 71-52 margin on Monday. The Falcons were down 54-33 at the end of the third quarter, which was just too much to recover from.
Andres Trellis put forth a good effort for the losing side as he posted 16 points and six boards. Joshuwa Martin was another key player, putting up eight points.
Even though they lost, Pine Forge Academy smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 23 offensive rebounds. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least eight offensive boards in eight consecutive contests.
Meanwhile, even if it wasn't a dominant performance, Mesivta beat Barrack Hebrew Academy 51-45 on Saturday. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Mustangs.
Pine Forge Academy better keep an eye on Nathanel Bitas. He was instrumental in Mesivta's win, scoring 22 points and eight rebounds. The dominant performance gave Bitas a new career-high in points. Another player making a difference was Shaked Ben-David, who had 11 points and seven boards.
Mesivta is on a roll lately: they've won nine of their last ten games, which provided a nice bump to their 14-3 record this season.
