After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Leesville Road, The Athens Drive Jaguars were happy to have found some success on Friday. They took down Enloe 35-18. The high flying offensive effort was a huge turnaround for Athens Drive's zero-point performance the matchup before.
Athens Drive got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Jaquavius Weldon out in front who rushed for 242 yards and a touchdown while picking up 9.0 yards per carry. Isaiah Beardsley was another key contributor, rushing for 95 yards and three touchdowns.
Several Eagles players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Ethan Neptune, who threw for 344 yards and two touchdowns. The team also got some help courtesy of Eli Kirkpatrick, who picked up 60 receiving yards and two touchdowns.
Athens Drive's victory bumped their record up to 5-5. As for Enloe, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-6.
Athens Drive does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Enloe also has no future games currently scheduled.
