Meanwhile, East Windsor had to travel to play their first game of the season, but the final result was worth the trip. They blew past Westbrook 47-10 on the road. With East Windsor ahead 29-4 at the half, the contest was all but over already.
Bailey Winner was on fire: she scored 29 points along with seven rebounds and six steals. Nohely Santana was another key contributor, scoring two points along with 12 rebounds and six steals.
Sports & Medical Sciences Academy's victory ended a four-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 2-0. As for East Windsor, their victory bumped their record up to 1-0.
