The Rancho Bernardo Broncos will be taking part in a tournament against the Mater Dei Catholic Crusaders at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (Rancho Bernardo 3.3, Mater Dei Catholic 2.2) so any runs scored will be well earned.
On Tuesday, Rancho Bernardo earned a 6-1 win over Mission Vista. The Broncos haven't had any issues with Mission Vista recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive victory against them.
Zoey Meadows made a big impact no matter where she played. On the mound, she struck out eight batters over seven innings while giving up just one earned run off two hits. Meadows was also big at the plate, scoring a run while going 1-for-4.

In other batting news, Ellery Housand was excellent, scoring two runs and stealing a base while going 3-for-4. She has been hot, having posted at least one stolen base the last five times she's played. Another player making a difference was Gaby Lowe, who scored two runs while going 2-for-3.
Rancho Bernardo kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 11 hits. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Mission Vista only managed two hits.
Meanwhile, Mater Dei Catholic came tearing into Tuesday's game with three straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 6.3 runs), and they left with even more momentum. They walked away with a 9-5 win over the Sultans.
Like Rancho Bernardo, Mater Dei Catholic also got a great game from a two-way player: Arri Romero. She looked comfortable on the mound, tossing five innings while giving up four earned (and one unearned) runs off eight hits. Romero was also stellar in the batter's box, going 2-for-4 with one home run, three RBI, and one double.
In other pitching news, Analesse 'Peanut' Garcia looked comfortable as she tossed two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits.
Back at the plate, the team relied heavily on Maya Matthies, who went a perfect 1-for-1 with one home run, four RBI, and two runs. That's the most RBI she has posted since back in May of 2024. The team also got some help courtesy of Gianna 'Gigi' Flores, who scored a run while going 1-for-2.
Mater Dei Catholic's victory bumped their record up to 8-1. As for Rancho Bernardo, their win bumped their record up to 4-5-1.
