The Central Bucks East Patriots were the 60-57 winner over the Bensalem Fighting Owls when they last played one another back in January of 2023, but their luck changed this time around. Central Bucks East took a 69-54 bruising from Bensalem on Friday.
Bensalem got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Jaidyn Moffitt out in front who dropped a double-double on 20 points and 13 rebounds. That makes it four consecutive games in which Moffitt has scored at least 25% of Bensalem's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Amir Drummond, who scored 18 points.
Central Bucks East's defeat ended a eight-game streak of away wins dating back to last season and brought them to 10-3. As for Bensalem, the win was the sixth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 10-1.
Central Bucks East's road trip will continue as they head out to face Harry S. Truman at 7:00 p.m. on January 9th. Harry S. Truman is out to stop a four-game streak of losses at home. Bensalem will take on Central Bucks West at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Central Bucks West has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last four games.
