Even if the Jaguars couldn't come away with the victory, the high-scoring effort was a great turnaround for their hitters, which had struggled int the games prior.
Samantha Pena and Ruby Gonzalez stepped up to the plate in a big way. Pena went 3-for-4 with three RBI, two runs, and one triple, while Gonzalez went a perfect 3-for-3 with three RBI, one stolen base, and one double. Pena has been hot recently, having posted at least one triple the last three times she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Shaela Ramirez, who went 1-for-3 with two runs, one stolen base, and one double.
Bell's defeat dropped their record down to 7-12. As for South East, their loss dropped their record down to 5-12.
Monday's game might come down to which pitcher can control the ball better. Bell has hit smart this season, having averaged an OBP of .440. However, it's not like South East struggles in that department as they've averaged .466. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
Bell couldn't quite finish off South East in their previous matchup back in March of 2025 and fell 4-2. Can the Eagles avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
