There's no place like home for The Edinburg North Cougars, who bounced back after a tough loss on the road last Friday. They blew past Economedes, posting a 37-6 win at home. That's another feather in the cap for Edinburg North, who also won these teams' last head-to-head.
Edinburg North found their leader in underclassman Tyler Ruiz, who threw for 179 yards and three touchdowns while completing 73.3% of his passes, and also punched in a touchdown on the ground. Ulysses Melendez was another key contributor, rushing for 112 yards and a touchdown.
Edinburg North's victory bumped their record up to 5-5. As for Economedes, their loss was their 11th straight on the road (dating back to last season), which bumped their record down to 1-9.
