The Ashley Hall Panthers's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Thursday after their ninth straight defeat. They had to suffer through a rough 68-16 loss at the hands of Northwood Academy. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Ashley Hall has scored all season.
Northwood Academy got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was alayah birch out in front who scored 15 points along with eight rebounds and eight steals. Birch is crushing the steal category: she's posted at least two every time she's taken the court this season. Morgan Jones was another key contributor, almost dropping a double-double on 16 points and nine rebounds.
Ashley Hall dropped their record down to 1-12 with that loss, which was their 11th straight on the road dating back to last season. As for Northwood Academy, the win (which was their 15th in a row) raised their record to 22-2.
Ashley Hall didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 65-25 loss vs. Ben Lippen on the 12th. Northwood Academy has also already played their next contest, a 55-31 victory against Pinewood Prep on the 9th.
