The Triton Hawks will take on the Gray's Creek Bears at 6:30 p.m. on Monday. Triton will aim to continue their three-game streak of scoring more runs each match than the last.
Triton's pitching crew heads into the contest hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Friday. They were the clear victors by a 13-0 margin over Westover. The Hawks haven't had any issues with the Wolverines recently, as the game was their ninth consecutive win against them.

The team relied heavily on William Meredith, who scored three runs and stole a base while going 1-for-3. He has become a key player for Triton: the team is undefeated when he posts at least two runs, but 5-6 otherwise.
Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Gray's Creek, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Tuesday. They came out on top against Purnell Swett by a score of 9-6 on Friday.
Mason Barnes made a big impact while hitting and pitching. On the mound, he didn't allow a single earned run while striking out six over five innings pitched. He has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't given up more than one earned run in eight consecutive appearances. He was also big at the plate, going 2-for-4 with two RBI.
In other batting news, Dalton Williams was excellent, scoring a run while going 3-for-3. Those three hits gave him a new career-high. Peyton Stanton was another key player, scoring two runs while going 2-for-3.
Gray's Creek always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .531. They are a perfect 3-0 when they post an OBP of .513 or better.
Gray's Creek pushed their record up to 7-6 with the victory, which was their third straight at home. Those wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 13.0 runs over those games. As for Triton, their victory bumped their record up to 8-6.
The batters for both teams will have to hit smart on Monday as both have some strikeout artists on the roster. Triton has been retiring batters left and right this season, having averaged 10.5 strikeouts per game. However, it's not like Gray's Creek struggles in that department as they've been averaging an even more impressive 7.7 strikeouts. Considering how easily both teams rack up Ks, the hitters on both teams better bring their A-game into this one.
Triton took their win against Gray's Creek in their previous matchup back in February by a conclusive 6-0. Does Triton have another victory up their sleeve, or will Gray's Creek turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
