Duncan hasn't had much luck against St. David recently, but that could start to change on Thursday. The Wildkats will head out on the road to face off against the Tigers at 3:45 p.m. Duncan is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 12.2 runs per game this season.
On Tuesday, Duncan needed a bit of extra time to put away Lordsburg. They came out on top against the Mavericks by a score of 10-6.
Ethan Hernandez made a big impact no matter where he played. He didn't allow a single hit and allowed only one earned run while striking out 14 over six innings pitched. He is becoming a predictor of Duncan's success: when he allows at most one earned run the team is undefeated (and 2-3 when he doesn't). Hernandez was also big at the plate, getting on base in four of his five plate appearances with three stolen bases, two runs, and one triple.

Duncan was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .395. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Lordsburg only posted a batting average of .077.
Meanwhile, St. David beat Patagonia 12-8 on Monday.
Like Duncan, St. David also got a great game from a two-way player: Clark Wilson. He looked comfortable on the mound, tossing two innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. Wilson was also solid in the batter's box, getting on base in four of his five plate appearances with two runs and one stolen base.
In other pitching news, Drake Fry looked comfortable as he tossed two innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. He has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up more than one hit in four consecutive appearances.
Back at the plate, Chase Pacheco was incredible, getting on base in four of his five plate appearances with two stolen bases, three RBI, and two runs. Those stolen bases marked the first that he has snagged this season.
Duncan's record now sits at 9-3. As for St. David, their record is now 4-7-1.
St. David's pitching crew has a crucial task ahead of them: Duncan hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .451.
