Even though they lost, Thomas Stone smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 17 offensive rebounds. That's the most offensive rebounds they've managed all season.
Meanwhile, after a string of three wins, La Plata's good fortune finally ran out on Monday. They suffered a tough 51-31 loss at the hands of Chopticon.
Despite the defeat, La Plata saw an underclassman step up: Aniyah Sisco scored 20 points. That was a full 64.5% of La Plata's points, marking the third time in a row she's earned more than a third of the team's points.
Thomas Stone has not been sharp recently as the team has lost four of their last five games, which put a noticeable dent in their 8-11 record this season. As for La Plata, their defeat dropped their record down to 7-14.
This contest is one where the number of possessions is likely to be a big factor: Thomas Stone haven't given up the ball easily this season, having only averaged 6.6 turnovers per game.
