Escambia County's lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Stephen Williams, who dropped a triple-double on 18 points, 15 rebounds, and 10 blocks. Williams scored a full 33.3% of Escambia County's points, the fourth time in a row he's earned more than a third of the team's points. Another player making a difference was Lorenzo Arnold jr., who scored 11 points along with 6 assists.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Hillcrest to victory, but perhaps none more so than Jermonte Stallworth , who scored 17 points along with 6 assists and 5 rebounds. J.T> Barlow was another key contributor, scoring 13 points along with 5 rebounds and 5 steals.
Escambia County's defeat dropped their record down to 3-1. As for Hillcrest, their win was their fourth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 6-2.
Escambia County will look to defend their home court on Thursday against W.S. Neal at 4:00 p.m. W.S. Neal is coming into the contest on a three-game losing streak. As for Hillcrest, they will head out on the road to face off against Thomasville at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Thomasville will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Alabama Rankings (they are ranked 387th, while Hillcrest is ranked 83rd).
