Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Woodruff). They simply couldn't be stopped on Thursday as they easily beat the Blacksburg Wildcats 77-35. The victory was familiar territory for the Wolverines who have now won seven matches in a row.

Several Wildcats players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Saad Lavender, who almost dropped a double-double on 12 points and nine rebounds. Another player making a difference was Christian Federico, who posted seven points.

Woodruff has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won eight of their last nine games, which provided a nice bump to their 9-3 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 59.3 points per game. As for Blacksburg, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 4-8.

Woodruff didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 63-45 defeat against Riverside on the 3rd. Blacksburg has also already played their next match, an 82-46 loss against Powdersville on the 3rd.
