The Quilcene Rangers's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Tuesday after their sixth straight defeat. They suffered a rough 44-22 defeat at the hands of Northwest Yeshiva. The loss unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Quilcene in their matchups with the Lions: they've now lost three in a row.
It was another big night for Paulina Gamel, who scored 29 points for Northwest Yeshiva. That makes it ten consecutive games in which Gamel has scored at least a third of Northwest Yeshiva's points. Leah Menashe was another key contributor, scoring eight points.
Quilcene's loss was their tenth straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 1-9. That rough patch could be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they only averaged 18.2 points per game. As for Northwest Yeshiva, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four contests, which provided a nice bump to their 9-6 record this season.
Quilcene does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Northwest Yeshiva will head out on the road to challenge the Wolverines at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday.
