Last Friday, it was close, but Lafayette Christian Academy sidestepped the Bulldogs for a 48-46 victory. Given Lafayette Christian Academy's advantage in MaxPreps' Louisiana basketball rankings (they are ranked 15th, while the Bulldogs are ranked 78th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Meanwhile, Jennings pushed their score all the way to 63 on Friday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They fell just short of Westlake by a score of 66-63. Despite running the score up even higher than they did in their prior game on Wednesday (60), Jennings still had to take the loss.
Lafayette Christian Academy's win bumped their record up to 21-5. As for Jennings, their defeat ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 22-10.
Lafayette Christian Academy was taken down by the Bulldogs 90-0 in their previous meeting back in January. Can Lafayette Christian Academy avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
