On the mound,  Gilman   struck out six batters over  two innings while giving up   no  earned runs off   one  hit (and only one walk). Meanwhile,  Longnecker   tossed two innings while giving up   no  earned runs off   two  hits. What's more,  she posted three  strikeouts, the most she's  had since back in May of 2024. At bat,  Gilman  scored three  runs while going 1-for-3, while  Longnecker  scored a  run while going 1-for-1.

Calhoun's win bumped their record up to 8-2. As for Griggsville-Perry,  this is the second loss in a row for them and  nudges their season record down to 0-2.
 Coming up, Calhoun will head out to  square off against Routt Catholic  at 4:30  p.m.  on Thursday. As for Griggsville-Perry, they will welcome Seymour  at 4:30  p.m.  on Wednesday.
