Campbell had already won six in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 13.8 points) and they went ahead and made it seven on Thursday. They came out on top against the Gideon Bulldogs by a score of 62-50. Given the Camels' advantage in MaxPreps' Missouri basketball rankings (they are ranked 63rd, while the Bulldogs are ranked 312th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Campbell's victory was their fifth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 7-1. As for Gideon, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-6.

Campbell didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 76-65 win against Senath-Hornersville on the 20th. As for Gideon, they will have a little extra prep time after the loss as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Clarkton at 7:30 p.m. on January 9, 2025.
