Softball Recap: Negaunee Wins Going Away Against Tawas Area

After only one run in their last game, Negaunee made sure to put some runs up on the board against Tawas Area on Friday. The Miners put the hurt on the Braves with a sharp 13-2 victory. Considering the Miners have won five contests by more than nine runs this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.

Negaunee has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 7-9 record this season. Those wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 9.4 runs over those games. As for Tawas Area, their defeat ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 7-7.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Negaunee will challenge Standish-Sterling at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday. As for Tawas Area, they will square off against Whittemore-Prescott at 4:00 p.m. on Monday.
