On Saturday Franklin take on Farmington/Nute at 2:00 PM. Franklin will be hoping to build upon the 32-12 win they picked up against Farmington/Nute the last time they played.
Franklin took care of business in their home opener. They took their contest against Mascoma last Saturday by a conclusive 27-6 score. Franklin were expected to win, but the margin was definitely larger than the state rankings had forecast.
Meanwhile, Farmington/Nute had to hit the road for their first game, and unfortunately the road hit them back. They found themselves the reluctant recipients of an unpleasant 7-39 punch to the gut against Winnisquam. Farmington/Nute were down by 7-39 at the end of the third quarter, which was just too much to recover from.
Franklin's victory lifted them to 1-0 while Farmington/Nute's defeat dropped them down to 0-1. We'll find out if Franklin can add another positive mark to their record or if Farmington/Nute can shake off the loss and take the spring out of Franklin's step.
