Shoemaker hasn't had much luck against Midway recently, but that could start to change on Tuesday. The Wolves will face off against the Panthers at 7:00 p.m. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (Shoemaker 3.9, Midway 1.6) so any runs scored will be well earned.
Shoemaker lost a heartbreaker the last time they played Temple, but it's fair to say they got their revenge given the result of Friday's contest. The Wolves put the hurt on the Wildcats with a sharp 9-2 victory on Friday.

Kale Clawson spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered only one earned (and one unearned) run on five hits and racked up seven Ks. She has been consistent: she hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in six consecutive appearances.
At the plate, Shoemaker let Taylor McClinton and Nichole Clemente run wild. McClinton went 2-for-3 with one triple, two RBI, and one run, while Clemente went 3-for-4 with two runs, one stolen base, and one RBI. That's the most hits Clemente has posted since back in February. Another player making a difference was Yanimarie Nieves, who went 1-for-4 with one stolen base, two RBI, and one run.
Shoemaker was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .519. That's the best batting average they've posted all season.
Meanwhile, Midway got themselves on the board against Harker Heights on Friday, but Harker Heights never followed suit. They blew past the Knights 10-0. Considering the Panthers have won 12 matchups by more than five runs this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.
Midway is on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last eight games. That's provided a nice bump to their 20-4-1 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 11.3 runs over those games. As for Shoemaker, the victory got them back to even at 10-10-3.
Shoemaker might still be hurting after the 11-0 loss they got from Midway when the teams last played on March 5th. Can the Wolves avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
