When it comes to explaining why Big Sandy lost, one person who can't be blamed is Bailey Berry. Despite the final result, she dropped a double-double on 14 points and ten rebounds. Berry also grabbed two steals for the first time this season.
Kenwood got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Sy?nya Seay out in front who scored nine points. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Seay has scored all season. Sarai Townsend was another key contributor, scoring nine points.
Big Sandy's loss dropped their record down to 0-5. As for Kenwood, their win bumped their record up to 1-10.
Big Sandy won't have much time to rest: their next match is against Manassas on December 30th. Manassas is still on the hunt for that elusive first 'W'. As for Kenwood, they will look to defend their home court on Friday against Henry County at 6:00 p.m.
