St. George is 2-8 against the Lynx since February of 2019 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Tuesday. The St. George's Gryphons will head out on the road to square off against the Lausanne Collegiate Lynx at 7:30 p.m. St. George's is no doubt hoping to put an end to a three-game streak of away losses.
Last Friday, St. George's suffered a tough 70-49 defeat at the hands of the Crusaders. St. George's has not had much luck with the Crusaders recently, as the team's come up short the last seven times they've met.
Despite the loss, St. George's saw an underclassman step up: Tristan Farris scored 25 points along with two steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Farris has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Jackson Jones, who scored 12 points along with six rebounds.
Meanwhile, Lausanne Collegiate earned a 53-44 win over the Trojans on Saturday.
Andrew Ford went supernova for Lausanne Collegiate, scoring 17 points along with five rebounds. Another player making a difference was Josh Taylor, who scored eight points.
St. George's has not been sharp recently as the team's lost seven of their last eight matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 7-13 record this season. As for Lausanne Collegiate, their win bumped their record up to 7-12.
St. George's was taken down by the Lynx 72-44 when the teams last played on Monday. Can St. George's avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
