Even though The Mountain Empire Redhawks scored an imposing 33 points on Saturday, the Rock Academy Warriors still came out on top. Everything went Rock Academy's way against Mountain Empire as Rock Academy made off with a 55-33 win. Rock Academy didn't have much to brag about two games back, but this win makes it their second in a row.
Leading Rock Academy to victory were Donald Moore iii and Zayden Campbell. Moore iii gained 122 total yards and six touchdowns, while Campbell rushed for 190 yards and two touchdowns on only 14 carries. Campbell was no stranger to the big play, turning on the jets for a run that went for 50 yards.
Rock Academy's victory bumped their record up to 3-4. As for Mountain Empire, their defeat was their fifth straight at home, which dropped their overall record down to 1-8.
Rock Academy will take on O'Farrell Charter at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. O'Farrell Charter is still on the hunt for that elusive first 'W'. Mountain Empire does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
