Last Friday, Rush-Henrietta was able to grind out a solid win over Webster Thomas, taking the game 42-35.
Rush-Henrietta got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Avery Council out in front who scored ten points. The matchup was Council's fourth in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Myles Collins-Howard, who scored 11 points.
Meanwhile, Webster Schroeder had already won three in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 18.3 points), and they went ahead and made it four on Friday. They walked away with a 65-53 win over Churchville-Chili. Given Webster Schroeder's advantage in MaxPreps' New York basketball rankings (they are ranked 121st, while Churchville-Chili is ranked 502nd), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Rush-Henrietta's win ended a five-game drought at home dating back to last season and bumped them up to 2-2. As for Webster Schroeder, their victory bumped their record up to 4-1.
