They received a tough blow as they fell 66-49 to Academy of Science and Innovation. The loss unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Goodwin Tech in their matchups with Academy of Science and Innovation: they've now lost four in a row.
Leading Academy of Science and Innovation to victory were Lebron White and Amari Cruz. White scored ten points along with five rebounds and five steals, while Cruz dropped a double-double on 20 points and ten rebounds. Warlin Franco was another key contributor, scoring 11 points along with seven rebounds.
Goodwin Tech's loss dropped their record down to 0-1. As for Academy of Science and Innovation, their victory was their fifth straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 1-0.
Goodwin Tech will face off against Norwich RVT at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Academy of Science and Innovation will be home for the holidays to greet Metropolitan Learning Center at 7:00 p.m. on Monday.
