For the second straight game, Taft will face off against Amity. The Tigers are taking a road trip to challenge the Warriors at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Taft has six straight wins, Amity has four straight losses), but none of that matters once you're on the field.
Taft's pitching crew heads into the contest hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Wednesday. They were the clear victors by a 10-0 margin over Amity. Considering the Tigers have won nine games by more than five runs this season, Wednesday's blowout was nothing new.

Zack Hankins was a major factor no matter where he played. On the mound, he kept things locked down with no earned runs or hits while striking out 12 over five innings pitched. That's the most strikeouts he has posted since back in May of 2024. He was also solid in the batter's box, going 1-for-3 with three RBI, one triple, and one run.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Trenton Battle, who went 2-for-3 with two runs, one stolen base, and two RBI. Battle is crushing it when it comes to stolen bases: he's snagged at least one every time he's taken the field this season. Kai Bayer was another key player, getting on base in both of his plate appearances with two stolen bases and two runs.
Taft was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .400. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Amity only posted a batting average of .000.
Taft's victory was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 9-2. Those home wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 14.3 runs over those games. As for Amity, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-6.
Amity's hitters will have their work cut out for them on Friday. Taft has been retiring batters left and right this season, having averaged 10.8 strikeouts per game. It's a different story for Amity, though, as they've been averaging only 4.1 strikeouts. Will Taft keep running through batters, or will the Warriors buck the trend?
