The Hilton Head Christian Academy Eagles's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their third straight loss. They were just a bucket shy of victory and fell 57-56 to Bell County. While losing is never fun, Hilton Head Christian Academy can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps's basketball rankings in their respective home states (they are ranked 114th in South Carolina, while Bell County is ranked 28th in Kentucky).
Despite the loss, Hilton Head Christian Academy still got an impressive performance from Qayden Turner, who dropped a double-double on 23 points and 14 rebounds. That's the first time this season that Turner scored 15 or more points. The team also got some help courtesy of Harrison Skinner, who scored 11 points along with three steals.
Hilton Head Christian Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 5-5. As for Bell County, the win for they keeps them at an undefeated 12-0.
