The Honey Grove Warriors won the last time they faced the Celeste Blue Devils, and things went their way on Friday too. Honey Grove strolled past Celeste with points to spare, taking the game 52-33.
Despite the loss, Celeste still got an impressive performance from Taylea West, who scored 14 points. That was a full 42.4% of Celeste's points, marking the third time in a row she's earned more than a third of the team's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Kennedy Compton, who scored nine points along with seven rebounds.
Honey Grove has been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 20-10 record this season. As for Celeste, their defeat ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 18-11.
Honey Grove will take on Bland at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Celeste, they will head out on the road to challenge Tom Bean at 6:45 p.m. on Tuesday.
