The Kirtland Hornets will take on the Beachwood Bison at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. Kirtland has given up an average of 11.2 runs per game this season, but Thursday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.
Kirtland came up short against Cardinal on Wednesday, falling 24-10. The Hornets have struggled against the Huskies recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive lost meeting.

Maggie Kothera was cooking despite her team's loss, going 3-for-4 with one home run, six RBI, and two runs. She has been hot recently, having posted three or more hits the last three times she's played. Sydnie Sullivan was another key player, getting on base in two of her three plate appearances with two runs and one stolen base.
Meanwhile, Beachwood was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their sixth straight defeat. They took a 12-7 hit to the loss column at the hands of Chagrin Falls. Surprisingly, this marked the Bison's fifth straight game in which the away team has come away the victor.
Amaya Brown and Lily Grover did some serious damage despite the final result: Brown went 1-for-3 with two stolen bases, one run, and one RBI, while Grover went 2-for-4 with one stolen base, two RBI, and one run.
Beachwood's loss dropped their record down to 1-6. As for Kirtland, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-6.
The pitchers for both teams better look sharp on Thursday as neither team is afraid to steal. Kirtland has been swiping bases left and right this season, having averaged 5 stolen bases per game. However, it's not like Beachwood struggles in that department as they've been averaging an even more impressive 3.3 stolen bases. The only question left is which team can snag more.
Kirtland took their victory against Beachwood in their previous matchup back in April of 2022 by a conclusive 14-0 score. Do the Hornets have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Bison turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
