Parkway Christian dropped their record down to 6-6 on Thursday, which also ended the team's three-game streak of wins. They came up short against  Southfield Christian, falling  16-4. Parkway Christian was not able to repeat the success they had when they faced Southfield Christian earlier this season, when they won  19-18.
  Jordan Williams and  Gabby Cholag did some serious damage despite the final result:  Williams  went 2-for-3 with one  run, one  double,  and one  RBI, while  Cholag  got on base  in all three of her plate appearances with two  stolen bases.  Xayla Swarts also deserves some recognition as  she  snagged her first  stolen base of the season.
As for Southfield Christian, they are  on a roll lately: they've  won three of their last four matches. That's provided a massive bump to their 4-4 record  this season. The high-scoring effort was just what they needed considering they were shut out in their previous   contest.
On Southfield Christian's side,  Chloe Schoon made a big impact no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound,   striking out eight batters over  five innings while giving up  three earned  (and one unearned) runs off   four  hits. Schoon was also big at the plate,  going 1-for-3 with three  runs and one  RBI.
 In other batting news, Southfield Christian got a  massive  performance out of  Taniya Hall, who  went a perfect 4-for-4 with four  stolen bases, four  runs,  and four  RBI. Another player making a difference was  Sarah Sherry, who  went a perfect 3-for-3 with five  stolen bases, three  runs,  and two  RBI.
 Coming up, Parkway Christian will take on Cardinal Mooney Catholic at 4:30  p.m.  on Monday. As for Southfield Christian, they didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next  game,  a  17-2  victory against Redford Union on the 9th.
