Nixon has gone a perfect 5-0 against Juarez-Lincoln recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Friday. The Mustangs will venture away from home to square off against the Huskies at 6:00 p.m. Juarez-Lincoln took a loss in their last game and will be looking to turn the tables on Nixon, who comes in off a win.
Nixon will roll into the matchup after a wild two-game stretch: they didn't score any runs on Friday, then bounced right back against Cigarroa on Tuesday. The Mustangs blew past the Toros 14-4. The victory continues a trend for the Mustangs in their matchups with the Toros: they've now won seven in a row.
Jimena Ibarra made a big impact while hitting and pitching. She pitched five innings while giving up three earned (and one unearned) runs off only two hits. Ibarra was also solid in the batter's box, scoring two runs and stealing a base while going 1-for-3.

Nixon's speedy runners might be the difference in Friday's contest. The Mustangs have been swiping bases left and right this season, having averaged 3.1 stolen bases per game. It's a different story for Juarez-Lincoln, though, as they've been averaging only 1.2 stolen bases. Will they be able to secure the bases, or will Nixon continue to outrun the ball?
Nixon took their win against Juarez-Lincoln when the teams last played back in March by a conclusive 8-0 score. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Mustangs since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
