There's no place like home for the Parkers Chapel Trojans, who bounced back after a tough loss on the road last Friday. They secured a 62-56 W over Columbia Christian on Friday. Having run the score up that high, both teams probably have some extra defensive drills coming up.
Columbia Christian lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Cooper Goodwin, who scored 20 points. Goodwin continues to roll, besting his previous point total in each of the last four games he's played. Another player making a difference was Landon Burley, who scored 14 points.
Parkers Chapel pushed their record up to 5-8 with that victory, which was their third straight at home. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 57.7 points per game. As for Columbia Christian, their loss dropped their record down to 17-9.
Parkers Chapel will be playing at home against Junction City at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Columbia Christian, they will head out on the road to face off against Claiborne Academy at 5:00 p.m. on Monday.
