The Muldrow Bulldogs will head out on the road to challenge the Stilwell Indians at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Muldrow is looking to tack on another W to their nine-game streak on the road.
Muldrow proved they can win big last Friday (they won by 22) but on Friday they proved they can win the close ones too. They skirted past Roland 39-37. The win was all the more spectacular given Muldrow's disadvantage in MaxPreps' Oklahoma basketball rankings (they are ranked 60th, while the Rangers are ranked 17th).
In what's become a running theme this season, Stilwell gave their fans yet another huge victory on Saturday. They breezed by Locust Grove at home to the tune of 74-47. The win made it back-to-back wins for Stilwell.
Stilwell's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Prairie Holmes, who almost dropped a double-double on 19 points and nine rebounds. Holmes hasn't dropped below two steals for six straight games. Another player making a difference was Snowda Watie, who scored 13 points along with eight assists and seven steals.
Muldrow is on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six games, which provided a nice bump to their 13-5 record this season. As for Stilwell, their victory bumped their record up to 15-4.
Muldrow came up short against the Indians when the teams last played back in January, falling 52-39. A big factor in that loss was the dominant performance of Watie, who almost dropped a double-double on 19 points and nine steals.
