Hesperia Christian had to start their season on the road  on Thursday, and it wasn't the start they were hoping for. They took a  blow against The Webb Schools Gauls, falling  82-47. The Patriots were down  64-32 at the end of the third quarter, and things only got worse from there.
 Defeat or not, Hesperia Christian got some senior leadership from  Ethan Flores and  Jacob Newman.  Flores  dropped  a double-double on 15 points and 11  rebounds, while  Newman  had ten points. Flores is also on a roll when it comes to  blocks, as he's  now  posted two or more in the last three games he's  played dating back to last season.
  Andrew Paik went supernova for The Webb Schools,  shooting 6-for-10  from beyond the arc and  almost  dropping  a double-double on 22 points and nine  steals. The dominant performance also gave  Paik a new career-high in  threes (six).  Jimmie Brown III was another key player,  almost  dropping  a double-double on 14 points and nine  rebounds.
 Hesperia Christian will get a bit of extra time to process the  loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Calvary Baptist at 7:30  p.m.  on December 2nd. The Webb Schools will also get a bit of a break before their next  game: they'll face off against Sierra Vista at 6:00  p.m.  on December 5th.
