The Milton-Union Bulldogs won the last time they faced the Newton Local Indians, and things went their way on Thursday too. Milton-Union came out on top against Newton Local by a score of 39-27.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Milton-Union to victory, but perhaps none more so than Ava Berberich, who scored 15 points along with five steals. Berberich has been hot recently, having posted two or more steals the last five times she's played. Shannon Brumbaugh was another key contributor, scoring eight points along with eight rebounds and three steals.
Milton-Union has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five games, which provided a nice bump to their 7-2 record this season. As for Newton Local, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 5-4.
Milton-Union will head out on the road to face off against Lehman Catholic at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Newton Local, they will be playing at home against Mississinawa Valley at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
