Meanwhile, Purnell Swett was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They lost 14-2 to Gray's Creek. Surprisingly, this marked the fourth straight game that the away team has come away the victor.
Purnell Swett saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Jayla Graham, who scored a run while going 1-for-2.
Pinecrest's first win this season bumped their record up to 1-2. As for Purnell Swett, their loss dropped their record down to 1-3.
