ELIZABETHTOWN, Ky. - The defense did their part on the scoring end for for
Bowling Green (Ky.) on Saturday, totaling six points as the Purples upset
John Hardin (Elizabethtown, Ky.) 33-28.
The Purples led 27-7 at halftime, but the Bulldogs recaptured the lead on a touchdown run by
Blake Pillow with less than a minute remaining in the fourth.
Bowling Green saw its 20-point halftime lead fall to 13 entering the fourth.
BG didn't regain the lead for good until the the fourth quarter when Pillow ran for a touchdown.
Led by
Matt Elam, John Hardin came in allowing just 12.1 points per game this season. JH had a hard time against Bowling Green's offense, who entered the game scoring 48.3 points per game.
The loss comes after John Hardin defeated Bullitt East 28-14 last week.
